We successfully completed our maintenance objectives.

During maintenance windows we use canary clusters to measure cluster performance and identity issues.

As expected instances of kube-apiserver for non High-Available clusters experienced some downtime, six occurrences between 10:20 and 13:21 CEST with an average duration of 10 to 120 seconds.

Cluster workloads continued to work and egress and ingress connectivity was not interrupted.

We are performing a scheduled maintenance on Tuesday 27 May, 2025 to upgrade Enterprise Managed Kubernetes.

## Improvements

Our Managed Kubernetes substack will undergo a minor upgrade. Support for Kubernetes v1.32. Finally, lots of bug fixes and performance improvements.

## Impact

Our engineers make every effort to minimize system impact. Starting at 10:00, the following impact can be expected. The EMK API endpoint may not be able to process your request. The kube-apiserver endpoint of your cluster may not be able to process your request. EMK clusters will not be able to autoscale during maintenance. While it’s important to be aware of the start and end times of the maintenance window we are confident to complete these changes with minimal impact.

## User Action

Please refrain from making changes to your EMK resources during the given start and end times. EMK clusters will not be able to autoscale during maintenance, if you anticipate an increase in workload please pre-scale your cluster accordingly.
